STRAND ART GALLERY, situated in the heart of beautiful BRIXHAM harbourside, is one of the oldest and largest art galleries in Devon and the West of England, specialising in fine art paintings, by internationally famous local artists, specialising in marine and landscape art, and with emphasis on local Devon views. Established in 1972, its' collection boasts over 400 original paintings for sale at the gallery. The "Brixham Artists" have been seen on a number of T.V. programmes over the years, and have a varied and interesting history, which goes back to the early days in the 1960's and 70's when they started out painting in front of the public at their easels, on the slipways at Brixham. Since then, the gallery was established, and they are to be seen there painting most days of the week, where they can be watched by the public, and answer questions about their techniques and styles.

Gordon Allen Has been painting over the winter and his latest painting have just been put on show
